Description: The County Trails Program, which encompasses both regional and community trails, involves trail development and management on public, semi-public and private lands. Regional trails, which span long linear distances crossing multiple communities and function as the backbone for community trails networks, are retained in the Public Facilities Element of the County General Plan. This General Plan (GP) element also contains a description of the County Trails Program and the countywide goals and policies that apply to all County trails. Community trails primarily serve local needs and are contained in the Community Trails Master Plan (CTMP) which is not included in the General Plan but will serve as an independent planning document and tool for implementing both community and regional trails.

Description: This is the County of San Diego, Department of Parks and Recreation polygon Parks_CN layer. This layer is parcel-based, representing park units by their collective parcels, rather than bounding polygons, and represents County Park-specific owned, co-owned, leased, funded or cooperatively managed park units. Description: Published 05/16/2012, Revised (FLOODPLAI attributes added) 6/4/2012The Digital Flood Insurance Rate Map (DFIRM) Database depicts flood risk information and supporting data used to develop the risk data. The primary risk classifications used are the 1-percent-annual-chance flood event (1-percent-annual-chance equates to 100-year), the 0.2-percent-annual-chance flood event (0.2-percent-annual-chance equates to 500-year), and areas of minimal flood risk. The DFIRM Database is derived from Flood Insurance Studies (FISs), previously published Flood Insurance Rate Maps (FIRMs), flood hazard analyses performed in support of the FISs and FIRMs, and new mapping data, where available. The FISs and FIRMs are published by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). The file is georeferenced to earth's surface using the UTM projection and coordinate system. The specifications for the horizontal control of DFIRM data files are consistent with those required for mapping at a scale of 1:12000. This layer is derrived from FEMA Digital Flood Insurance Rate Map (DFIRM) Unincorporated and Incorporated Areas 05/16/2012 with the additional LUEG-GIS and Flood Control derrived attribute FLOODPLAI where:FP500 (500-year floodplain), 0.2-percent-annual-chance flood event ) where:FLD_ZONE = '0.2 PCT ANNUAL CHANCE FLOOD HAZARD' FP100 (100-year floodplain, 1-percent-annual-chance flood event ) where: FLD_ZONE = 'A' OR FLD_ZONE = 'A99' OR FLD_ZONE = 'AE' OR FLD_ZONE = 'AH' ORFLD_ZONE = 'AO' OR FLD_ZONE = 'VE' FW100 (100-year floodway) where:"FLD_ZONE" = 'AE' AND "FLOODWAY" = 'FLOODWAY'Empty Attribute where:FLD_ZONE = 'X' FLD_ZONE = 'D'

Description: Habitat conservation and habitat loss due to development within the Multiple Species Conservation Program County of San Diego Subarea Plan (South County MSCP). This dataset was created using HabiTrak. HabiTrak is a habitat tracking tool created by EDAW and upgraded and maintained by the California Department of Fish and Game.
Description: 2012 Base Year Public Lan Ownership for the Series 12 Regional Growth Forecast.SANDAG's Land Layers are created for use in the Regional Growth Forecast to distribute projected growth for the San Diego region for Suitable subareas. These land layer include existing land use, planned land use, land ownership, land available for development, and lands available for redevelopment and infill. The land layers inventory is updated when new information is available. Many of these data sets are built from the San Diego Geographic Information Source (SANGIS) landbase. The land use information has been updated continuously since 2000 using aerial photography, the County Assessor Master Property Records file, and other ancillary information. The land use information was reviewed by each of the local jurisdictions and the County of San Diego to ensure its accuracy. Although this inventory contains more categorical detail and has better positional accuracy than previous land use inventories, users should be aware that this data may be too generalized for some local planning projects. Road right-of-way polygons and privately owned land are not part of this ownership layer. Adjacent parcel polygons with the same ownership have been aggregated (dissolved) into a single feature.
