This layer was created as a reference for truck routing using County of San Diego, Board of Supervisors Policy Number J-35. Policy J-35 lists routes to protect for the use of oversize load transportation and establishes procedures to follow if projects will provide obstacles on these protected routes for oversized loads.

Routes are categorized following the Attachments in policy J-35:

Attachment A - Moving Permit Instructions

Attachment B - Restricted Roads List

Attachment C - 7-Ton Weight Limitations.

Roads were selected from mobility elements that are categorized as "collector" or above. Roadway structures were analyzed and load rated within the selected roads using Caltrans' extralegal weight charts.
